You thought you’d be able to record a podcast with your AirPods, only to find out the audio doesn’t sound good.
Y’know, podcasting is all about that audio. If you can’t nail it, you might also lip-sync on TikTok.
The only mic you need to get if you’re trying to improve your audio game is Shure MV7.
Before I bought Shure MV7, I used two different mics. One was just too childish, and the second one stopped working after two months.
With Shure MV7, I am 6 months in, and it’s fantastic.
The audio quality is incredible, and I don’t think I could have asked for anything else.
It has a USB-C port so you can use it with any Apple device without an adapter.
The design is perfect. I don’t think a more aesthetically pleasing mic is on the market. It looks good on any desk.
Why Shure MV7 is the best podcasting mic
There are a few reasons the Shure MV7 is the best podcasting mic.
Firstly, it has excellent sound quality. It captures the voice’s highs and lows very well, giving your podcast a polished and professional sound. Secondly, it is very versatile. You can use it for various podcasting styles, from interviews to solo shows. And finally, it is very affordable, which is important for many podcasters on a budget.
Shure MV7 is the little brother of Shure SM7B. That’s the mic you see Joe Rogan use. It’s the industry standard mic.
But you can’t use Shure SM7B without additional equipment. Also, there’s no USB option.
That makes Shure MV7 your best option because it is a USB microphone that plugs right into your computer or laptop.
It comes with tuning software (MOTIV) that lets you tinker with a few technical things like gain and compression.
If you want to get fancy, you have an option.
But if you are like me, the ‘Auto Level Mode’ will work just fine – set it, forget it.
It’s the kind of mic you plug in and use.
