Soon after coming from Dubai last year, I decided I needed a more high-end digital camera. Not a DSLR but something between Point and Shoot and a full-fledged DSLR. That’s when I decided to sell my Sony Cybershot DSC W120 and buy Canon Powershot SX20 IS.

I have been using it for over three months and simply love it. The picture quality is amazing. It’s easy to use, has quite a few advanced settings, and has a very comfortable grip.

Some photos I have taken with Canon Powershot SX20 IS

I bought it from eBay with a carrying bag, 4GB memory card, cleaning kit, and a mini tripod, all for $350. Canon Powershot SX20 IS is an excellent camera for the price and a good starter camera if you are considering upgrading to DSLR.
The only bad feature of the camera happens to be the fact that it requires AA batteries. I guess it is such a minor issue that the good features overshadow the one bad feature.
