Chris Brogan’s Advice For Businesses Starting With Social Media

Over the weekend I came across this video on Social Media Examiner where Chris Brogan lays out few steps Businesses can take when starting out in the social media sphere.

  • Lots of good basic info on how businesses need to think/plan to use social media.

    I particularly liked Chris’ comments on his use of Twitter: (1) he promotes other people 12x as much as himself
    (2) he replies to people A Lot!
    (3) he mixes personal and business
    (4) he considers Twitter a “serendipity engine” where you can meet people you did NOT already know.

    • I like his first advice more than anything else he said. Lately, I have personally realized that listening is the best way to get the feel of what one should blogging about.
