It’s me, Zahid. Pronounced Za-Head. Welcome to my piece of mind, my blog.

Geek by nature, accountant by education, and blogger since 2006. I have seen quite a bit, read quite a bit and from time to time, said quite a bit.

On this blog I talk about my life, social media, start-ups, apps, blogging, personal finance, business and occasionally about things that don’t make sense to me. I do throw in some random topics once in a while, you have been warned.

I was born in Karachi, Pakistan but grew up in Dubai, U.A.E and moved to California in 2002 to pursue my Bachelors. Life had a plan set out for me and towards the end of my educational endeavor, I met someone and we decided to settle down. I now live in the city of Santa Clara, the heart of Silicon Valley, with my wife and son.

I work in public accounting as a tax accountant for a tech focused CPA firm, Armanino LLP, in San Jose, CA where I specialize in preparing corporate income tax returns. When asked if I work in the technology industry, my answer is yes. I prepare taxes for some of the biggest name in tech.
